With over twelve flavors for five distinct hemp product offerings, Kentucky Crafted approached the studio looking to set themselves apart from a market that was largely crowded and unconsidered.
With home-grown pride for Old Kentucky and its legendary crop, our studio rebranded, reimagined, and repositioned KC to be the premier forerunner of the state's CBD and Hemp product boom for years to come. We developed the visual system for twenty-three SKUs--five products and twelve flavors that sing individually and harmonize as categories, refining the online customer experience of choosing dosage and taste. From crop to box, the brand’s hand-crafted element is apparent. A natural-toothy substrate pressed with gold foil, hand-adorned seal labels, and individual, hand-signed hang tags come together to showcase KC’s authenticity and genuine pride across the brand.

WHISKEY INSPIRED

We took notes from Kentucky’s most premium export, Bourbon Whiskey, to elevate the KYC brand with touches of the hand and attention to detail normally reserved for a high-end single barrel.

TYPOGRAPHY

We selected the Halyard type family for the primary packaging typeface, given its wide variety of weights and styles including the Mirco version with hyper exaggerated ink traps. This was a crucial feature for legibility when printing off-set and extremely small type sizes on a textured stock.
